How to calculate marks with SSC Constable Question Paper Solution.
- To calculate your correct answers: Start by tallying the number of questions you answered correctly during the exam. Since each correct answer is valued at 2 marks, multiply the number of correct responses by 2 to determine your total score for correct answers
- For incorrect answers: Begin by counting how many questions you got wrong. Then, multiply this number by 0.25, as each incorrect answer results in a deduction of 0.25 marks. This will yield the total penalty for your incorrect responses.
- To calculate your net score: Subtract the total penalty for incorrect answers from the total marks for correct answers. This calculation will determine your net score, which is out of a possible 160 points.
Example Calculation
To calculate your score based on 70 answered questions, with 65 correct and 15 incorrect, you would follow these steps:
- For 65 correct answers: 65 x 2 = 130 marks.
- For 15 incorrect answers: 15 x 0.25 = 3.75 marks deducted.
- Net score: 130 marks (for correct answers) – 3.75 marks (penalty for incorrect answers) = 126.25 marks out of 160.
Note – The examination authority will apply normalization to the marks calculation to account for variations in difficulty levels across different shifts of the examination.
