About HOEC:
HOEC was incorporated in 1983 to undertake Exploration and Production (E&P) activities, including by Late Mr. H.T. Parekh. HOEC was the first private company in India to enter the field of oil and gas exploration. HOEC operations began in 1991 with the Government of India announcing the fourth round of private-sector exploration competitions.
HOEC Recognizes that best practices for Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality play an important role in all successful management initiatives, in addition to being an institutional requirement. The Company has the goal and duty to comply with all relevant legislation and requirements when conducting Oil & Gas Exploration & Production activities in India, in accordance with the commitments it has made with the Government of India.
HOEC provides all geophysical services and seismic data acquisition services. In 1989 opens a corporate office in Baroda following a government decision to allow private participation in oil and gas exploration and production. HOEC gets listed on the Bombay Stock Exchange through an initial public offering in 1990.
This was the first private sector oil company to have commenced oil exploration activities in 1993. HOEC signs its first PSC for an onshore area with the Government of India
